I have done a bit of plumbing for my kitchen sink and most of the joints have sealed fine without a problem. But this one joint of an old fitting just doesn’t want to seal. I have removed it three times now and used PTFE tape on the olive (It was a new olive). But every time, there is a slight built up of water on the joint. (It’s not dripping) Can anyone suggest something?

It wouldn't be the first time that a compression nut has cracked or distorted, but you could try some Fernox LS-X sealant as well.
