Hi all,

Unfortunately I'm having some issues withy fitter/plumber and wanted to check if the drop on this was correct? He says the pressure of the water would push through any solids or other non liquid waste but I'm not convinced. There is no drop/gradient that I can observe and whenever I ask questions he gets angry and complains that I am making his work take longer or the job more difficult.

Additionally I asked to have the sink waste recessed into the plasterboard cavity and to fit it in he has put these kinks in the plastic tube.

I have had to take time off from work to oversee the work as my poor wife finds them very intimidating as they keep kicking off.

The waste pipe could have been set slightly lower but as it is such a short run to the stack it would not be an issue in my opinion. It looks like he has melted the waste pipe from the sink in order to manipulate it around the metal stud which is not the normal way of achieving this but it will work as the basin will only be taking away water and not solids and the flow has not been restricted, just slightly distorted.
All in all the work is not top rate and his attitude is certainly not what it should be to a customer and they shoud never feel intimidated in their own home so i would suggest keep an eye on his work but ultimately let him get it done and finished so he is out of there for good and you can then add an honest review to his business online.
