continuity test?/

can anyone explain me how to
test continuity between 2 cable to know if they are connected?
i have a tester just not sure how to set it up for continuity...

What tester do you have?

To test for continuity set your tester to the resistance/continuity setting then take one probe/clip and connect it to one end of the cable and then do the same for the other end - some testers will beep if a low enough resistance is measured, others will just display a resistance reading.

Set the meter to the resistance setting. The meter will measure the resistance between the 2 probes, so if they are at opposite ends of a cable the meter should indicate a relatively low resistance - you don't have to do anything to the meter except select the correct setting and touch the probes to the cables that you want to test.

Remember to turn off the electric before you perform this test though.
