Hi,

I've got a fairly large ceiling to plaster with a few cracks to mend. The instructions for PVA say to prime with PVA/Water 1:5, once dry apply a second coat 1:3 and then start plastering once it goes tacky. But by the time I would finish the second coat would be dry! Could it be a problem? Just wondering how plasterers go about it.

Many thanks.

Which way would you go Steve, I'm not a professional plasterer but have always just carried on, as surely the moisture in the plaster would re-tack the PVA.

I carry on but if anyone's going to be in any doubt or worried about this they could use one of the bonding agents
