Hi there.

I need a little help if possible. I Need new hot water and central heating controls as the central heating side of things doesnt seem be working.

I believe this is a dual control system as I have a tank on the loft etc and not a combi boiler.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a replacement to the picture attached. If poss something in screwfix as it's just around the corner

Thank you. Mike

May be an idea to take the front off and post a pic on here - experts should be able to advise a few wires you can swap round to test it before you condem it.

This is a reasonable equivalent: https://www.screwfix.com/p/horstman...-programmer-with-li-ion-battery-back-up/68934
assuming that the programmer is the fault, and not some other part of the system.

Thank you very much

I think it's knackered unfortunately. God knows what's up with it.

Your old programmer looks like a Honeywell ST6450. So, should be compatible. Honeywell programmers usually follow the same wiring format:

Terminal 1 HW off
Terminal 2 CH off
Terminal 3 HW on
Terminal 4 CH on

Terminal 2 will not be used, and terminal 1 may or may not be used, depending upon the type of system that you have.

However, as suggested, and to be sure, the wiring diagram shown on the existing programmer should confirm this for you.

If it is, then the MiTime programmer has the same connections as shown below:

As has been mentioned though, whilst it may be the programmer that is at fault, several other faults can also cause the same symptom. It is more often caused by the motorised valve (if your heating system has one) Especially after a period of inactivity. So, you may find that the fault is still present even after the programmer is replaced.
