Hi ppl!
When does a cooling plate need to be fitted to a gas fire?

Is it as standard on a precast flue, or is it dependant on the height??

Thanks!

If you're qualified to fit fires then you should damned well know the answer!
Ask in the Combustion Chamber but expect a hard time!

If you're not qualified, then for heaven's sake get someone who is, before you do serious damage.

Cooling plate is for precast flues to stop the blocks getting damage with the heat and height has nothing to do with it, height comes into it with the flue restrictor which is a different thing all together.
Go onto manufacturers web site and read installation instructions its all explained in them
