Hi all,

I've got to put saddleback copings on a half brick garden wall and render it on one side, will the coping still be wide enough for the drips to be effective or will I have to look at different options?

Thanks in advance

A plain roof tile laid lengthways with blue bricks on top and sharp sand mortar fillets works.

Not sure if they will go for that as it won't match all the other existing walls.

I was hoping to either find one which is made slightly wider to allow for render but haven't had any luck so far, or render the wall like normal and angle it in about an inch down from the top so that its tight to the brickwork where it meets the coping and hopefully the drips are still working. Do you think that would be ok?

You could most probably offset the copings by 1/2 inch or so.

Or ask the renderer to ever so slightly chamfer the top 50mm of the render.
