Hi, in a week or so i`m going to be stripping my friends roof off and renewing it.
He lives in a semi-detached 4 hipper with slates on, i`m only doing his roof so obvioulsy will be stopping at half way with the new slates.
Im going to be installing a grp bonding gutter where the 2 roofs will join, my question what is the correct way of installing the bonding gutter underneath next doors slates, as i won`t be able to strip back his slates to lay the gutter underneath.
Speaking to some roofers who do "private" jobs more regular than me say
"pull out the half slates, de nail 1 side of the full slates, slide it in, and re nail" But i won`t be able to renail the half slates obviously, and "sealing" them in with sealant doesn`t seem the best option.
