That still does not help.

Is it a house, a bungalow, a commercial let etc?

You need to take account of other access routes and widths of any doors and stairs if appropriate

For disabled access, there may need to be a 900mm clear width of doors and that would mean halls and landings at least that too. They may be a requirement of a 300mm nib too - leading to wider halls and landings

So it's not just a case of a hallway of a certain width

hi
there low set bungalows with french doors to gain access the corridor is of the living room which is open plan 3 metres long with 3 bedrooms of it and a bathroom

No still not got you? We'd have been here all day trying to find out what layout was going on and thus what width hallway he wanted wouldn't we?

To the OP, you should note that it is likely that the property may be subject to the specifications of "Lifetime Homes". Much of this is covered by the building regs but these set of standards offer some more defined guidance over and above the minimum standard.

Lifetime Homes standards also form part of the Code for Sustainable Homes, another set of standards that new buildings are rated against.

However, the exact requirements and whether or not your property will be subject to them may vary depending on exactly when the property was built (well... designed). It may help you to look up the planning history and also see what advisories / conditions are present as this will help you work out what you are working with and whether or not there are any bigger issues at play (for instance, if certain codes or measures were not met).
