Evening all.
The lights in my house have been wired using the junction box method and the cpc stops at the junction box. I understand that in theory the last junction box before the light pendant is effectively the same as the loop-in ceiling rose is using that particular method ,and the cpc does indeed stop at the ceiling rose and not at the end of the flex. But with the cable from the JB to the fitting being up to 4 metres long, is it ok to have no cpc running with it to the fitting?
Thanks

It's unacceptable not to have a CPC at metal light fittings/switches. If there is CPC continuity between the MET and every junction box but the fittings are connected to those junction boxes with 2 core flex then as long as there are no metal fittings your not in any danger.

What about at light switches? Are there CPC conductors there?

Thank you both.
The fittings are indeed class 2. All the switches and JBs have very good r1-r2 reads, so it does seem above board. Thanks again.
