Does anybody know if Creda "Quickdiscs" - or spares - are still available? These are the same as the cooking discs in the top of a standard electric cooker's hob, but are single, individual discs. They were intended to be fitted where the householder wanted them rather than just in a square hob or cooker top.
Mine were fitted in my kitchen in 1972 in a row at the back of the work top, leaving 15" of clear space at the front of the work top. This meant that pans etc were well out of the reach of my children when they were too young to recognise risks associated with hot pans.
Now it seems a switch is faulty - but Creda have been bought by Indesit. Their web site is distinctly unhelpful, needing Indesit part numbers I do not know. :?:
