I have a Danfoss TP5000si controller and have purchased a single channel Hive kit is it a straightforward job to connect as there is only 2 wires on my original controller or does it mean I have to connect it directly to the boiler wiring?
Thanks in advance.

The Hive needs a permanent live and permanent neutral, common and switch live out,you only have a common and switch. What system do you have?

your existing danfoss stat is battery powered, the hive needs a 240v L&N to power the receiver, the receiver usually goes next to your boiler and is wired into the boiler, the Hive thermostat is battery powered and sends a message to the receiver to control the boiler

Hive thanks for the replies this is the boiler I have

Then @ianmcd ‘s advice is the correct one to follow - wire in receiver next/close to the boiler using L,N,E, common and switch. If you’re planning on doing this yourself you may need to carry out safety checks on the boiler afterwards.
