Dashboard Lights Problem

I have a 7 year old Zafira and yesterday I noticed that the heating controls lights weren't coming on. Turned up the fan and on they came. This morning the clock/radio/ temperature lights went out when I switched on the sidelights and since then go off and on each time I switch on the side lights.
Does anyone any idea as to what the problem is, and if so, is there an easy solution?

Give the fuses a wiggle, hopefully you have a bad corroded connection. Otherwise, might be a bad earth

What an idiot!!! Had this car for 7 years and never knew that there was a dimmer switch. After checking the fuses, decided to take it to the garage and the mechanic put his hand in the window, turned up the dimmer switch, and hey presto all dashboard lights came on again. Sorry for the bother Mursal.
