Good evening all, the flue from my old boiler originally went from a downstairs cupboard up through the eaves and then through the roof. The install team for my new boiler partially removed it. However I have some leftover problems...
I now have a hole in my eaves floor which I want to cover up permanently. See picture 1. What's the best way of sealing it up?

Secondly, there is also a leftover bit of flue (I was expecting this to be taken out but it wasn't) which now starts from the eaves (it petrudes out by about 1m and hangs there) and goes up into the roof. Again I want to get rid of it and do a permanent seal up. Would it be possible for me to do it by myself?
