Decking over a drain

I've got a manhole cover under my decking and I assume I need to create the decking so there is still access.
However, this means that the space between the joists where the cover is more than 50cm.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to get round this problem?

Joist hangers and slot in a joist that can be removed.
