I am having problems with the sound on my digi box. The picture is fine, but the sound has like wind blowing sounds in the background. Why would this be?

what sort of digibox is it? its not a freeview one that was £20 at asda is it?

How is it connected to the TV? scart or RF?

It's a Netgem Player. It cost £80.00. It is connected via a scart cable.

Is it new?
Has it ever worked properly?
Have you tried removing scart & reconnecting?
Have you tried re tuning?

Had it for about 2months. Works fine apart from this faint wind blowing sound when any sound occurs. Tried reconnecting scart and reprogramming.

Have you connected it to your tv via the RF output to determine if sound problems still occur that way?

So what you are saying you have always had this sound. I would suggest you return it to the shop, if its not faulty then its your area. Why put up with this, you must have realised it cant be working properly.
