A fried asked me to disconnect her gas cooker. It is connected using a flexible pipe into a bayonet fitting.
Is it legal for me to unplug this for her? I do not want to break any laws.
I would spray the fitting on the wall with leak detector spray after unplugging the flexible pipe. If there is a leak I know she would need a gas fitter, as in that case I would turn off the gas at the meter.
