discreet connection needed

Hi All,

I have some old strip lights under my kitchen units that I want to swap out with some mains powered led wedges. The mains cable comes out of my wall underneath the high level kitchen units, the led light also has a cable... whats the most discreet way to join the two cables properly.. I am sure some diyers would just use a bit of chocky block with a good couple of wraps of black tape but I dont want to set my house on fire. There will be a plinth so I just need the most discreet way of jointing the two with the least investment.

Most discrete will be crimping and shrink rap - maybe a pic and link to your lights may help a little

can the shrink wrap be done with a hairdryer? or a naked flame? I dont have a heat gun. Nor do i have a crimp tool.

Doesn't matter then, does it?

Can't you join the cables inside of those fittings with normal connector blocks?

oh ok that's easy enough then, thanks. The wedge light does have a void that I can fit a connection strip into.

Yep, or three single (smallest) ones with the joining bits cut off may be easier to fit in.

Chock box connector isn'tmuch thicker than a terminal strip and can be fixed to the underside of the units with sticky tape
