I have a whirlpool 6th sense dishwasher with the display flashing 'out'. Any ideas how I fix it ?

Don't know that machine but have you checked the salt and soft rinse?

Believe it or not I after checking I found that my husband had pressed the wrong button, that's the last time I trust him with anything in the kitchen!
