Hi,
I have a Sime Super 90 gas combi boiler and am currently experience problems getting the domestic hot water to heat up. If I reduce the flow to a trickle the water will heat up, but the radiators heat up as well. Does this mean the diverter valve needs replacing? I have tried closing the outlet and return C.H valves (at the boiler base), this gives plenty of hot water through the taps. Also, when I swith the summer/winter switch over I can hear a humming from the diverter valve, which I assume means the electrical connection is OK. Please can someone give me some advice as to what this valve actually does and if it needs replacing. Thanks.
