Currently building an airing cupboard in the bedroom with a built in wardrobe next to it.
I'm using 33x68 cls stud and i bought some door linings from Wickes which are 106 mm.
Obviously after fitting the plasterboard I'm left with 6.5 mm each side for skimming. I'm thinking that's too much of a skim and would it be better to have 3 mm skim and just ignore the other 3.5 mm bearing in mind it will be covered by the architrave so probably wont even notice?
I had toyed with the idea of ripping the linings down to 100 mm. Worth it?
