My car is a Kia Rio 1.3L. The door lock has developed a problem: I'll try to describe it the best I can and there is a picture and a video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So, if the door is unlocked, everything works fine: the inside door handle, outside door handle and lock and dibber (? what you use to lock the door from the inside). The area in the red box (see pic) feels sprung and can be pushed and it springs back.
If the door is locked and the handles are tried, the area in the red box moves down and stays down and is not sprung. The dibber and the keylock pull up so far and do not unlock the door and feel like they resist against something. I have to move the red box area up with my finger for everything to work again.
