Door to door - Charity chuggers

All door to door activity of this type should be illegal, along with door to door salespeople.

Why?

Because some people find it difficult maybe very difficult to say 'no thanks' when asked directly to support and/or buy something. Leaflets through the door? Fine. That leaves the individual to make a decision without any actual or perceived pressure.

Slightly OT however there are clips on YT of 'charities' who stand in the street basically accosting passers by and trying to get them to 'sign up.'

I agree!

I'm sure if people were better informed, as to where their donations are actually going, people would be much less willing to sign up.

If you're in the house and answer to them, say this:

Sorry, I don't live here
or
I'm just the handyman
or
I'm just the cleaner

If you're in the garden, say this:

I'm just the gardener
or
sorry, no English speak
Or just foxtrot oskar
