Im looking to replace some downlights.

When i looked at them yesterday i saw some were Low V others were Mains V.

I presume i can fit either type the wiring to the lights will be mains V and the low V unit will have a reducer in them ? Is that correct ?

[Pedant mode]Low voltage is mains voltage[/Pedant mode]

or for the other pedants, is that mains voltage is low voltage?

The ones in now are 12v bulbs so i presume the lights must be the low V type.

Id be best buying Low V option then i think

They are until one of the trannies goes and you end up ripping up your floorboards to fix it...

All now on heat resistant flex which means I can get to the trannies from the downlight holes.
