Is it ok to use an adjustable downlight to 'wash' walls or best to use the type that pull down so theres no loss of light output. Im thinking of using the Aurora MR11's or items known as 'Rock n Roll'. Any suggestions?

A fixed, swivel or eyeball on a ceiling will create arches on a wall, size dependent on the angle of the lamp beam.
Proper wallwashers will give a more even light, but you are then subject to a minimum distance from the lamp to the wall for safety.

Cheers, I see. What do you have in yr home... just out of interest? Its a minefiled out ther, but gettin used to some of the stuff!
