DPM, DPC or vapour barrier for single brick garage walls?

Hi everyone,

I'm converting a single brick garage into a play room for the kids. Was wondering what to use on the single brick external walls between studwork and wall for damp proofing? I'm planning on insulating between the stud work and then plasterboard over the top.

What ever you do, don't use an impermeable poly membrane. Breather membrane would be ok, but really not needed. Personally I would line with PIR foam directly against the wall and fixed with battens (to the inner surface) and boarded over.

^ How would this stop penetrating damp through the 1/2 brick wall and running down the inner face?
