Hi just ant abit of advise on fitting a the above wiser zone 1 kit to a house I’ve bought and at moving in soon
I’ve bought the kit zone 1 as was on special offer
The boiler is a old one a Baxi 105 HE and when I looked t the property it had no external timer only a old wall mounted thermostat
Having looked into it and downloaded the boiler manual I see that the timer maybe built mechanical one on the front of the boiler but Also shows wiring for a external timer

can anyone give me any advise on how I should go about fitting this thanks

If it has a timer and thermostat set to permanently on and let Wiser take over, wiring in near to the boiler, or decommission the thermostat and use the wiser. If not timer no big deal, just use the wiser.

Ok thanks for reply so just wire to the hub and using the old timers wiring
As looking t the manual it does show a optional external timer

I guess I’ll just have to wait till in

Easiest way is to use the wiring from the inbuilt timer

That’s what I was thinking and then have the thermostat in the hall way the boiler is in the garage but the signal should reach as on the same wall pretty much

yes should be fine they have a decent range usually about 30M

Hi finally got into house and getting round to sorting boiler with my wiser kit 1
Can anyone point us in the right direction to make sure it is wired correctly as looking around I think the boiler needs a permanent live
I’ve got some 4 core with earth cable see pics below of wiring

Also the last pic is another forum of someone with a similar baxi boiler

I don’t know the way to wire using the inbuilt timer other than altering wiring at pcb end. You can either decommissio the timer or set to permanently on. Yes, the boiler needs a permanent live, it also needs a permanent neutral too, which it already has.

You can piggyback the l/n/e wiring from the boiler or the spur if nearby, and then use the remaining switching wires.

Thanks for info I was going to decommission the old timer and go from the pcb board

It couldnt be simpler, the 4 wires connected to the inbuilt timer, blue to neutral brown to live, then the two blacks to 1&3, either way round it doesnt matter
Dont make any links at the drayton

Remember with this boiler when you turn the power back on , you have to hold the reset knob for 2 seconds to reset the boiler

Does the thermostat get set to maximum or get decommissioned and a link put back in at boiler?

Am I right saying you need to put a link wire in the thermostat block on the boiler so it’s permanently on according to to wiser
