Hi guys,
I need to replace the free standing electric cooker in my property.
The new cooker will be of a similar power output as the existing cooker so it will be a like for like replacement.
Am I permitted by the regs to remove the old cooker and connect the new cooker to the mains? I understand electrics and the simple task that it is to remove the connections from the old cooker, connect them up to the new one and perform a continuity check.
I just need to know if I can legally do this or if I need a Part P qualified electrician to do it for me.
Thanks!
