I have recently bought a house and I am shortly going to be in receipt of a new Baumatic Oven & Hob, the oven is rated at 2.35kw & the Hob is rated at 5.8kw.
Presently there is a 10mm cable from the consumer unit (no MCB present) leading 6 metres to a 45A MK switch which in turn leads to a single 45A MK cooker terminal.
Please can someone advise the best way to install these two items. Can i use any/all of the existing wiring - is it simply a case of plugging in the oven and hob in the terminal box and choosing the correct MCB. All advice appreciated.
