I have an RCBO to install in my Consumer Unit to run my electric shower. Should it be in the busbar that is protected by the original RCB, i.e the rail that supplies the sockets and cooker or should it be in the busbar that supplies the lights etc.

1) Is it a single pole or double pole?
2) If you have space on the RCD side of the board, why did you buy an RCBO and not an MCB?
