hello my mums oven keeps switching off sometimes it can stay on for 50 min sometimes 1 hour and then wont come on for 15-20 mins any ideas

Do you know if the cooling fan is working ? . On the early versions they had a fan stat/cut-out wrapped in the wiring next to the left selector switch it has four thin wires going into it if this has gone you would see a burn mark on the stat itself if its the later version the fan stat is at the back by the wires for the grill element if the fan is ok it has to be one of those depending on version
