the electric ignition on my bosch gas hob wont stop firing! I think this may be because i washed it and water may have got into the circuit and is causing a short? if so when it dries out it should stop shouldent it? any help apreciated

dry it with a hair drier if you can access it, my daughter spilt juice on ours years ago once dry it was fine and has worked for 6-7 years
