Hi,

I'm having a new Keston boiler and Megaflo fitted and I'm surprised to see that the expansion vessel looks like it's upside down: the threaded pipe is on the top and the car-type valve at the bottow. Shouldn't the car-type valve be on top? Does it matter?

Regards

It does not seem to matter much but I always prefer to have the air at the top.

Makes no difference. The air (or nitrogen) and water are separated by a synthetic rubber diaphragm so the water cannot reach the schrader valve.

Zilmet and others manufacturers prefer the air valve on top (from their documentation). Plumb it in and just make sure the scraiders accesible.
