Hi there,

Must be at least 15 or 20 years ago when my mother rather than replace her solid timber back door, had it covered or coated by with some kind of Vinyl or plastic coating.

It looked good and has lasted a long time, however, it's now looking a little worse for wear and has a couple of small tears where some miscreant scum has tried to kick it in!

It's obviously 'come away' from the wood, I'm assuming over time the glue or whatever was used to fuse the coating to the wood has broken down.

Neither of us can remember the name of the company or where she found them in the first place. A cursory look on the www has thrown up no clues either.

Does anyone out there know if this process or similar is still avalable? what it's called? who or where we can get it done?

The finish was a dark brown 'wood grain' effect and looked very similar to a uPVC coating.

Any help would be much appreciated, as although her front door and windows have been replaced with uPVC, she really would like to keep the rear wooden door.

Cheers G
