We live in a complex of 4 converted barns. All of the conversions share a sewage system that has to be emptied about once every two years.
What we would like to do is make one of our other buildings better by having its own toilet. We do not want to make it residential.
We are able to connect to the existing system without crossing anyone elses property.
Do we need planning permission or the permission of the other residents?

You might have to get agreement from the neighbours as the system is shared.

You probably don't need planning permission but you will need Building Regulations approval for installation of a new sanitary appliance and new connection to a sewer
