Previously extractor fan (with timer function) not working and lights work in windowless bathroom.
Replaced a new Extractor fan (with timer function), however this fan does not work, but all the lights work.
Outside of bathroom above the door is a switch.

Is there any way to check, what and where the fault in the supply is? Could it be faulty bathroom light switch wiring, or faulty switch above door or................

(I tested the old extractor fan to electrical supply and it is working)

Thank you........

You are going to need a multimeter or a two probe main test device.

First of all, at the fan wiring, confirm that you have neutral and permanent live on the correct wires and that the switched live connection becomes live when the light is switched on.

If all is ok, reconnect your fan making sure all aof the connections are correct.
If no voltage on one/all of the wires, make the same tests on the fan isolator switch. Also have a hunt around in case someone has installed a fused switch somewhere, check the fuse.
