I am thinking about replacing an canopy extractor fan by a chimney extractor. The chimney flue is central but the current flue (with hole to outside) is off centre. In other words I have to drill a new site for the flue 6" away from the old one. This will require filling in the old hole...has anyone ever done this? Help would be appreciated.
