Hi, I have a extractor fan/light above my oven but the fan stopped working, it just makes a kind of groaning noise. Do you think it can be fixed, if so any ideas :?:

The motor may have given up :( If you can trace the fault and source the part you can fix it, unless its a specifically pricey one your prob best just replacing it

It does sound like the motor. Do you know if that is exensive to fix :?:

Check the motor it could just be blocked with rubbish turn the power off and check it over to see if there is anything stuck the fan blades should move easily

if this isn't the problem and the motor has gone contact the manufacture give them the product number and ask them how much a replacement part is

once you have found this out then compare this price to the price of a new one if its allot cheaper it would be worth fixing it yourself if its more expensive or a couple of quid cheaper to to fix it yourself you should just get a new one
