Hi Chaps,

The clicker on my Verine stove has stopped working. I've temporarily connected up an external Piezo ignition and that works fine so I've established that it's either the 'knob end' of the ignition that's failed, or the HT lead that connects the two.

What are the odds that it's just the HT lead - is it worth a £10 punt on a replacement lead or do they tend to be pretty bulletproof? Otherwise I'll get a fitter to give me a price for a whole new gas tap/Piezo assembly.

Cheers

More likely to be the piezo itself I think, but try the thing in the dark - just to see if there's any tracking (sparking) out of the HT lead.......maybe its got too close to a surface and burnt through the insulation.
