Fascinating Insight Into Company Car Drivers

I worked effectively as a subbie for a Surveying Company who were tied into a company that dealt with insurance Companies.

The boss of this tied in company got himself a Ferrari.

On turning up in the car park of a prospective new client this tied in company director did not get the contract he was closing in on, I suppose the rational was if jack the lad is swanning around in a Ferrari who is picking up the tab for that somewhat overpriced car? being used by a very, very small Company??

As for running costs of the Ferrari? servicing every 3,000 miles, drinks fuel, tends to put points on your license, loads of break downs, so much so you really need two of them, one in the garage the other being driven??

The worst C/Car I was given was a Ford 18 Turbo Diesel escort.

Best part was that it had been stripped down, right down !

No low fuel warning, and it would have really been a lot better if someone had fitted brakes? any brakes !

Did not like the VW Passat with the electronic hand brake? also tended when in the [really] wet on an M-Way it had short term brake fade until the pads boiled the rain water off the disks good laxative? Do not when starting on a down slope put your foot on clutch and accelerator, the electronic hand brake would come off fast, or the electronic hand brake would not disengage on a hill ?

My current car has auto braking / collision avoidance.
A **** when you're merging at a roundabout, and it suddenly jams on......

Why should they?
It presumably was his job to get the shrewdest deal for the company, so he was only doing what he was paid to do.

Don't you get paid bonuses at your firm?

I feel that the key to motivating the work force is to incentivise it. We all work because have to, but by making them want to work is always beneficial.

My labourers tend to come in early when I suggest they're going to get a couple extra quid on Friday.

This is what sets apart those that can from those that can't.

My job was to make money, to feed the money monster that swallows all the money & yet still needs more.

It was never my job to specify exactly what car the rep's will be driving next, I never gave it much thought. If you have to think about what I did, then me & you are different.

Dork loved his Vx Senator's, probably the best luxury saloon car ever, probably.

Dork was very upset when he finally lost his battle to retain his ageing Senator & accept a Merc' 500S.

It might be Dork's fault that he could never 'bond' to his new Co' car, but that is by the bye.

Dork was sat in a traffic jam in his brand new 500S & the cause of that traffic jam is the reason Dork tipped his desk over, stuck a finger up to the man & went his own way thereafter.
