FCU to double socket

Doing a kitchen renovation and have an single FCU that is no longer needed. Can this be replaced with a double socket above the worktop?

That rather depends on how the FCU is connected to the circuit, and what circuit it is...

What did the FCU used to supply?

What circuit is it on? (you must know, or you won't be able to isolate it)

Have you checked to see if it's directly connected to the circuit, or if it was a non-compliant spur from a spur?

Have you checked to see what size cable supplies it, and how that relates to the rating of the protective device for the circuit?
