Just signed up today to this forum so bear with me!
I'm a gas engineer with not that much experience in boiler break downs, but as I'm getting busy I'm coming across more.
I was called to a ferrroli sigma 50 vented system today that has stopped working. When I put a demand for heat on the pump comes on (3 port valve works fine) but the boiler won't firer up, it just clicks. There is power to the fan and the over heat stat. I replaced the overheat stat and air pressure switch. Still nothing ?
Though a small amount of research I'm inclined to drain the system replace the thermistor and flush the system as there could be a blockage ? Most of the pipe work is micro bore too if that makes any difference
Am I going in the right direction ?
