fiat ciecentoe clutch

Probably a problem with the clutch itself.
Is it heavy?

no it is not heavy but once the cable is fitted , it seems to take months to get it adjusted properly and then twang!.

Its probably the clutch itself then.
Can either bite the bullet and get it changed, or whack another cable on it a get a few more thousand miles out of it

I Dont know these cars, but is the cable running very close to the exhaust pipe, or somewhere else where it gets very hot? Make sure you clip it into its propper route, and dont just leave it loose after replacing it.

most of the problem is due to the cable design, each time it has snapped was it at the angled bit that hooks to the linkage in the passenger footwell?

take a look at fiatforum.com in the cinq/seicento section, lots of info there
