I have installed low voltage down lighters in my kitchen ceiling and in my bathroom ceiling both the bathroom and kitchen are outside roofs with no rooms above. In both the kitchen and bathroom roof space I have thermal insulation that when i pop the lights in will sit onto of the lights. Reading up Fire Hoods are required to ensure the fire rating of the ceiling.
Question is how do I protect the insulation from catching light without spending a fortune on Fire Hoods that are not necessary?
