HI all,
I'm in the process of getting my extension signed off by building control and the only thing outstanding that's a problem is they're stating that the lintels above my garage doors (normal catnic cavity wall lintel) need to be fireproofed, even though they're on the outside of the garage door.
They've suggested I line them with supalux or similar, although looking at this it's about £100 a sheet so not a cheap fix.
Does anyone know if this is a normal request and if so are there any better ways of doing the job? Might have to have a look at fireproof paints and see if that's a better option.
Thanks
