I'm fitting a 1200 Lt oil tank up against the wall of my single story garage. Due to the height of the building I've been told I will need a fire protection barrier at the top of the wall to stop flames going into the eves of the building. Can anyone tell me how to construct the barrier and what its constructed of?

i dont install tanks, but have seen the material used ...i think about twice, a builders merchant should be able to advise. they will know.

do what everyone else does, fit it where you want. within reason. my tank is too close to fence . i lie awake at night worrying.
a legit company 9/10 will move the tank to the middle of the garden.
... and then john prescott will come and do snap inspections in summer, to make sure your bbq is x meteres away from it. :p
