Fixing carpet under bullnose

Used staples to do this and it looks terrible when you look upstairs, luckily only done a few so hope someone can advise what I can do to get a better finish ?.

Rub the carpet with the edge of a slipper where the staples look awful, sounds like you've got the pile caught and this will lift it back, should be OK then, otherwise double sided carpet layers tape...pinenot

LOL I'll buy a pair a pair of slippers first thing tomorrow, or maybe i'll stick with the tape
