Fixing into Tarmac?

Hi All

Putting gravel over a lightly sloped tarmac path.
Using a plastic Gravel Grid to keep gravel in place.

I want to fix the gravel grid down.
To a certain extent the gravel will also be holding the grid down.
Not much force on the fixings.

Was thinking of using self-cutting concrete screws?
All I'm doing is holding down a plastic mat.

Could glue it as well, if that would be strong enough.
