I have a ~25 year old flat roof kitchen extension on the back of the house. There are a couple of ceiling vents which vent to both the inside and outside of the house. The inside ones are blowing an icy draft when the weather's cold.
I've not dug in to the ceiling to establish whether there's even any insulation in there, but is there any good construction/condensation reason for having an internal vent (granted, they may have been added for removal of kitchen odour, and there did used to be an oil fired Aga in the room)
Thanks
