Hi

I had a leak caused by a crushed double socket push fit coupling just below floor level. In order to replace the coupling, I cut the pipe above (where the photo is marked 1) and pulled out the access pipe from the broken coupling, replaced the coupling (marked 2), then put the access pipe back. I then had to connect pieces marked 3 & 4 (where I cut). I tried using a grey double socket push fit slip coupling, I got it onto piece 3 easily (with the help of silicone lube), aligned the pipes, but when I tried to pull the slip coupling back to connect to piece 4, it wouldn't slide, so it was pulling out piece 3 from the bend, and lube wasn't helping. So, I gave up, I knocked the slip coupling off piece 3 with a hammer, and used the flexible coupling that you can see in the photo. Nothing's leaking, but I want to check - is this something I can leave as is, or should I replace the flexible coupling with a solid one? The whole pipework you can see is boxed in behind plasterboard.

Thanks!
